Bridge Entertainment Labs

Civic Health Project is proud to have incubated and launched Bridge Entertainment Labs (BEL), the entertainment industry’s hub to catalyze content, across multiple genres and platforms, that bridges divides by telling “new American stories of us.”

BEL’s unique mission is to inspire and support the entertainment industry’s efforts to create stories that transform the way Americans see and engage with each other across our dividing lines - including our political, cultural, racial, social, and geographic differences.

Listen First Coalition

Civic Health Project has played an instrumental role in promoting the work of America’s grassroots bridge-building field. As a grantmaker, we’ve awarded >75 field grants, mobilizing millions of dollars on behalf of bridge-building work across the country. As a Listen First Coalition member, we’ve amplified the field’s efforts by co-chairing the Bridging Goals and Measures Program, leading fieldwide awareness campaigns, providing in-kind staffing support, and participating in steering and working groups.

Today, Civic Health Project is applying our deep grassroots experience to emerging work in “social cohesion technology.” By blending social science insights and deep practitioner expertise with emerging technological innovations, we aim to serve as an ecosystem builder connecting the academics, practitioners, technologists, and funders who seek to scale solutions to society’s dangerous divisions.
