National Week of Conversation, Apr 17-23,
including "don't miss" opportunities like these:

This powerful, moving record of the secret dialogues that took place between pro-life and pro-choice leaders over several years -- in the wake of devastating violence in the Boston area in the early 1990s -- exemplifies the spirit of what it means to bridge and forge friendships across our deepest divides. Register here to join the virtual screening on Monday, April 17th! (note there is a $10 ticket fee for the screening) But if, as Americans, we are not willing to do the hard work that lifelong relationships require, then we are almost certainly destined to continue drifting apart. America Needs Marriage Counseling

Announcing Our Expanded
Scholar Advisory Council
Civic Health Project's grantmaking and strategic initiatives are underpinned by rigorous social science theory, research, and measurement. We would not be able to identify the most promising, scalable, impactful interventions without leveraging the insights of our Scholar Advisory Council. In 2023, we have expanded this advisory council in order to broaden and accelerate our understanding of the dynamics that can either amplify political division -- or foster social cohesion -- in America.

We are deeply grateful for the contributions of these esteemed scholars across a broad range of academic domains:
- Chris Bail, Duke University
- Mark Brandt, Michigan State University
- David Broockman, University of California, Berkeley
- Adam Enders, University of Louisville
- Kurt Gray, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
- Samara Klar, University of Arizona
- Tim Ryan, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
- Lisa Schirch, University of Notre Dame
